Photo Ops in Iconic Alberta Locations

Alberta boasts some of the most stunning landscape photography locations on Earth. While the Rocky Mountains might be at the top of everyone’s list, there are many other great spots to explore. For instance, consider Lake Louise tours from Banff for your next vacation to experience some of Alberta’s most breathtaking scenery. for more info click here this link https://hintinsider.com/consider-lake-louise-tours-from-banff-for-next-vacations/.

From the iconic Edmonton spots to the breathtaking Banff National Park, here are a few of my favourite photo ops in Alberta that you should visit!

Iconically Edmonton

The park area and greenspace south of the Alberta Legislature building is a gorgeous location for engagement or family photos during the week. It’s a great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, so you can have a peaceful backdrop to your photos. There are shady spots, a couple of water fountains, and the Legislative building in the background. If you want to swerve away from the classic Alberta photography locations, there’s also a really cute bridge just north of the Legislative building where you can have fun with a wide angle shot of downtown Edmonton.

This is a great spot for photos during the day or at sunset. The water is calm and you can get some great reflection shots, especially when it’s a nice clear day. The area is also well-maintained and there’s a lot of interesting graffiti art on the walls. If you’re not in the mood for graffiti, there are plenty of benches along the shoreline to relax and enjoy the view of the river and skyline.

Another iconic Alberta spot is a bridge that crosses the Bow River near Prince’s Island Park. This is a popular spot for wedding and graduation photos, because it’s so unique. There are benches and a walkway to make it easy for people to stand on either side of the bridge, so you can have a variety of photo options. If you want to spruce up your photo, there are lots of spots nearby where you can add some flowers or props for an extra special shot.

Banff National Park

The most famous spot in Banff to take a picture is probably Moraine Lake. This lake has been described as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, and it’s not hard to see why. The turquoise-blue water is surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks that reflect in the water. It’s a beautiful place to visit any time of year, but it’s particularly spectacular during the winter when you can often catch a stunning Aurora Borealis display above the lake.

Another great spot to photograph is Two Jack Lake. This lake is a bit less busy than some of the other Banff photo spots, and it’s a great spot for pink and purple sunsets. It’s also right next to Lake Minnewanka, which is a great spot for Northern Lights photos during the winter!
